Kerry McGregor was a Scottish singer-songwriter and actress who began her career performing with Nexus and other bands before appearing on the BBC television show to select the UK´s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest. Kerry was a finalist in the third series of The X Factor in 2006 and was mentored by the media personality and music promoter Sharon Osbourne.
As an actress, Kerry performed in theatre, TV and radio. These included Gordon McDonald´s production of "A wee bit of how do you do", Channel 4 series "The Book Group" and the award-winning BBC children´s drama series, "Grange Hill"
Kerry was deeply committed to a wide range of charities that work for and with women, the disabled and children. She was Ambassador for Action on Bladder Cancer, (ABC), the first UK National bladder cancer charity. She was much sought after as an inspirational speaker and performer.
Sadly on Wednesday 4th January 2012 Kerry passed away following a battle with cancer. She will be much missed by her family, friends and many fans, whose tributes were testament to her amazing life and achievements.
